I’m the stereotypical New Yorker who moved to South Florida. I know New Yorkers move to other areas here, but I’m choosing Miami and Palm Beach since they dominate my circles. Some people play it safe with Palm Beach, thinking Miami may be too much of a walk on the wild side. More and more people tell me that they regret that decision. Palm Beach is wonderful for downtime, but it grows old as a permanent residence. Many newcomers soon miss New York’s diversity and energy, and relocate to Miami. You’ll be surprised at how much Miami has changed. On top of its tremendous cultural scene, it’s buzzing with new upscale residents, many of them famous faces, as well as dining, retail, and major companies and startups that are investing in the city’s future.
